R W Reid Construction and Cost Consultancy (RWR) is a London-based quantity surveying and commercial cost consultancy built on a simple conviction: that every construction project deserves bespoke, precision-led service — regardless of scale, sector, or stakeholder.
We work across the full construction spectrum, from developers and funders to main contractors, specialist subcontractors, and design teams — wherever there is a shared commitment to doing things properly. Our approach is collaborative, commercially rigorous, and always tailored to the specific needs of the client and project.
Unlike the large practices where senior names win work that juniors deliver, at RWR you deal directly with Robert and a lean, expert team — chosen for your project, not assigned by availability.
Our Founder
Robert W. Reid MRICS
Founder & Principal Consultant
Robert is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) with over a decade of experience across some of London's most prestigious and complex construction projects. Before founding RWR, he held senior roles at AECOM, one of the world's leading infrastructure and construction consultancies, Berkeley Homes, London's foremost luxury residential developer, and JRL Group, one of the UK's largest privately-owned main contractors.
That breadth of experience — spanning client-side, consultancy, and contractor — means Robert understands the commercial pressures, priorities, and objectives of every party around the table. It's what allows RWR to communicate fluently across the full construction spectrum and deliver advice that is genuinely useful, not just technically correct.
Among the landmark projects Robert has contributed to are the demolision and rebuild of Regent's Crescent, one of London's most celebrated Grade I listed residential developments in Regent's Park, and The Powerhouse at Lots Road, Chelsea — the landmark mixed-use conversion of the former Lots Road Power Station.
